More on the 5/21 NHDH Mussoorie Huddle

As Kiha shared just below, we had a really great meeting on Wednesday. We are all so excited to be getting the ball rolling again on continuing to build and nurture our "triune bond" as Ashish put it so well.

Thirteen excited people were able to attend this huddle. Pictured clockwise from left: Toby, Heidi, Kiha, Fred, Creighton, Paul, Carol, Holly (Paul's wife), Liane, Chris and Barbara. Linda and Bo were also there but left before we had the brilliant idea to take a photo to share with you!

We started the meeting with everyone sharing their India "experience." Some of us had gone in July, some in November, and many of us were on the home team praying. It was good to hear how God continues to set our brothers and sisters in Mussoorie on each of our hearts.

After praying, we opened the meeting with Kiha sharing where things stand as far as the Strategy Map is concerned. Barbara has copies of this plan if anyone who wasn't present would like one. Then Creighton shared an update from Ashish, which I will post in a separate blog right after this one (don't want to be getting too wordy...yeah, right, Barb!). And then we talked about future plans, including upcoming mission trips and the February 2009 gala fundraiser. People signed up for areas in which they would like to help to organize and volunteer for this fundraiser: decorations, silent auction, publicity, ticket sales, and miscellaneous (add comments here or email Barbara if you would like to help).

The next meeting is currently scheduled for Wednesday, June 25th, at 6:30 p.m. at the Kahala Resource Center. If there are any changes to this, we will let you know here first! More detailed plans regarding the November mission trip will be discussed, including itinerary, costs, etc. The timeline for plans leading up to the February gala will be distributed. We will also be discussing ways to work on individual relationships with the boys and girls so that they don't feel so detached from us. Please email me or leave a comment if you are planning to attend the June meeting or if you are interested in becoming more involved with the ministry but are unable to attend. Please pray for how God might be placing this ministry on your heart and how you might become more involved.

All of us who are involved in this ministry on both sides of the Pacific know that God is orchestrating a very special work on, for, and through both our fellowships. Kiha discussed how God brought us to you, in a seemingly eleventh hour miracle. And on the surface, that's what it looks like. But more and more, I realize that God really brought you all into our lives to teach us so much that we do not know and to take us to new levels of glory. The changes that I have seen in the lives of the men and women who have visited you and in those who have prayed for them are nothing short of miraculous. Your work there is awesome, and we are so blessed and humbled to be a part of it. Please continue to pray for us, that He who began this good work in all of us will be faithful to complete it.
