3/6/11 Survival Guide Journal Entry from Pono Carroll

Today's Reading:
Deuteronomy 3,4; Psalm 36; Mark 13

“You saw no form of any kind the day the LORD spoke to you at Horeb out of the fire. Therefore watch yourselves very carefully, so that you do not become corrupt and make for yourselves an idol, an image of any shape, whether formed like a man or a woman, or like any animal on earth or any bird that flies in the air...” --Deuteronomy 4:15-17

God is saying to look at yourself carefully so you don’t become corrupt and selfish and begin to idolize or worship yourself. Instead, you should put others before yourself, always looking to serve others.

Today you will be arriving in India, and you will have a very interesting and long day. You will probably see things that you have never seen before. Best thing to do is to always pray for protection over your team and yourself. Once you set foot in India, the “enemy” will do whatever it takes to bring you and your team down and prevent you from reaching your goal.

Dear father, I praise you and humbly ask for your protection over these servants while they are in India, especially those there for the first time. Use them as vessels to shine your light to the people of India, the kids in the orphanage, Woodstock, and even to one another. Jesus, we praise and love you. Amen.
