I can't wait....

HI I am Jules :)

I have never been to India before, and I am so excited to meet you all. Count Down: 53 days.

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Going to Ukhimath- Please pray for us.

Dear family and friends,
Happy New Year 2011, may the Lord bless you and may each of us found ourselves in the center of God's will each day of this year.
The Lord opened a door for us to go to Makku village, near Ukhimath in November 2010. We want to go there and witness God's love to the villagers.
We will truly appreciate your prayers for us, this time Dhan and Bom Bahadur are going with me. This village is very near to the Himalaya regions, about 350 miles from Mussoorie.
Love you all.

Romans 12:1-2

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

His Joy Is Our Strength

So excited to get connected again with our family in Mussoorie! It seems like it's been such a long time (well it sort of has been a long time) and we are praying for God's hand on this trip! That we would have discerning hearts to walk completely in His will.
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your heart and minds in Christ Jesus. (Phil 4:4-7)

"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful."
-Hebrews 10:23

So excited to return to my "hanai" family!

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. --Hebrews 11:6

Looking forward to just being with my Mussoorie family... I hope you folks haven't grown so much that I don't recognize you! Nah, that's not gonna happen... you are always on our hearts and in our prayers. See you soon!

Excited to return to Mussoorie!! :D

I am so excited to be able to return to India. I can't wait to see everyone and experience what God has in store for us! In preparation for our trip I thinking about doing good all the time and the encouragement and strength to endure in doing good and the promise that God will not forget that.

Galatians 6:9-10
"9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers."

India here I come :)

Scripture

Romans 8:38~39

" For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Wow. I am so excited and happy to go on this mission trip! So cool to be able to document it and use the gifts that God has given me! More to come!

Our Hope is in God

Isaiah 40 : 31 ~ "but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

I look forward to visiting my friends again in Mussoorie and meet new friends at Woodstock International School.
Our hope in the Lord comes from our faith-walking. Praying everyday, knowing that our Father is here waiting for us to call on Him.

Prepare yourself everyday by praying to God first, thank Him for everything He gives you and enjoy life ! Our hope is in Him.

To never ignore a call to serve no matter how near or far...

As I pray and prepare for this mission I am faithful that the Lord has purpose and love that goes beyond our understanding. I aim to be be obedient to what He puts in my heart. To value and serve others. I pray to make it to India this March and see all the wonderful faces I see in these images. God Bless!
1 Peter 4:10 - Each of you should use whatever gift you have recieved to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's Grace in its various forms.

For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose. Philippeans 2:13

Our Nepal Visit- Seema

Our gardener's wife is Amreeta who accepted Lord Jesus as her saviour after coming to Mussoorie, and eversince she would share about the enormous need to go her village and share the good news with her family and villagers. So we kept this in our prayer for a long time, and in His time we went to Jhapti, a small village in Nepal. From mussoorie we four ladies started this journey on the 1st day of this year, with a lot of excitement and uncertainties.

It takes about 36 hours to reach that village from Mussoorie. We had taken a bus, which was the worst conditioned one I had ever traveled in my life. The roads were bumpy. We took the bus from Haridwar to Katarnia which is Indo-Nepal border, crossed a river in a boat and had to walk for about two and half hour to enter Nepal. In one place Amreeta's village people had come to receive us with cycles, so riding bi-cycles for two hours we arrived at Jhapti.

When we reached there, we found out that there is no food, so now it was cooking time after such a long and hard journey. We were starving and the place was very poverty stricken no shops to buy food.
But the next seven days of our staying were amazing, we could witness to many people and pray for the sick. It is such a joy for us to be able to share the good news with these people. May the Lord bring His kingdom into the lives of these people.

With much love

Seema
