Christmas Celebration 2012

Merry Christmas to all our families and friends. Truly it is because of His faithfulness we could see through the year 2012. Christmas is a very special time, when we can invite our friends who are not the follower of Lord Jesus Christ and share the gospel. Our non-Christian friends look forward to this day and wait for their invitation. On the 19th Dec we had a special program celebrating the birth of our Saviour. About 350 people from the community came to celebrate the occasion with us. For the first time many friends from Dehradun joined us.
We had invited Pastor Kailash from the state of Punjab, an old friend of Pastor Dhan Prakash. He presented the gospel in a very simple but profound way. So glad that all our neighbors could listen to the gospel. Two of our local churches Community of Nations and Friends of Garhwal participated in our program by performing dances in two songs respectively. Rev. Asher Wasker had sent his youths for the program. Our girls from Dehradun were an inspiration in the program, as we could see the transformation in their lives in last one year.

Bablu's Wedding- A testimony of His faithfulness

As I post this today, after a long gap, my heart is filled with gratitude, seeing the Lord's hand in Bablu's life. The Bible says, "I am certain that God, who began the good work within you will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns."( Phil.1:6).
There is another word that says in Joel 2:25, "The LORD says, "I will give you back what you lost to the swarming locusts, the hopping locusts, the stripping locusts, and the cutting locusts."

Bablu got married on the 21nd of November 2012 to Vishakha, she comes from a very godly family. When I look at both of them, I see how their backgrounds are totally different. Bablu, in a sense has nobody in the world apart from us. But Vishakha's family is one of the biggest family we know. The amazing thing about her family is how they accepted Bablu. Normally a traditional indian family would not be quite happy to give away their daughter to someone who has no family background. But Vishakha's family accepted Bablu as their own son, that is the biggest blessing Bablu got.

The celebration brought a great cheer to all of us. A lot of dancing happened, unprecedented, we celebrated for five days.
