Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. –2 Corinthians 12:9-10
Brothers and Sisters, Paul delights in his weaknesses because he knows this is where he will experience God's power. As you depart, this devotional time was set aside by God to review the altars built by those who have gone before you on this journey—altars built in thanksgiving for the miraculous signs of His power and our weakness.
From the very beginning, the Holy Spirit gave us vision and guidance that led us to Mussoorie; His grace went ahead and paved the relationship between the orphanage and C4. Along the way, there have been countless miracles of timing, provision, insight, and protection (even from “lost” boarding passes :). Each one of you is specifically purposed to be on this journey. Be encouraged that our Father knows your weaknesses; you don't need to be ashamed of them or feel you have to protect others from them. Your strengths and your weaknesses are meant to be used by God. Let God provide for your weaknesses through the hands and hearts of your team.
Jehovah Jairah, Pour out your spirit on my Brothers and Sisters, from this first day of their journey until you bring them home safely. Give them a double portion of grace and mercy for one another. Increase their spiritual vision to see each other as you them, to hear each other as you hear them, so that they can support, encourage, and embrace one another completely. Through the power of Christ that allows us to delight in our weaknesses, and those of our brothers and sisters, Amen.
